After all the hectic preparation, we are finally meeting in St. Louis this week!  We (Drs. Steneck, Ricard and I) are very excited about this opportunity to increase the network of those interested in and working in the RCR EIT field, and are delighted with the scope of presentations.

We hope you will choose to add your thoughts, ideas, comments and questions to this blog.  While we have planned time during each presentation for discussion, we know you will think of things later.  We hope this blog will give us an opportunity to continue the dialogue!

Best wishes for a wonderful conference experience,

Cathy

International speakers and guests… February 15, 2008

The conference is shaping up to be quite an international gathering.  The ORI (through much work by Nick Steneck) and the European Science Foundation (through Tony Mayer) sponsored the First World Conference on Research Integrity in Lisbon, Portugal last September.  This conference may have acted as a spring board to much more international interest and collaboration around responsible research conduct.  The presentations reflected the work on many countries, associations and universities in ensuring RCR.

Conference registrants to date (2/15/08) are coming from Finland, Singapore, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Puerto Rico and India as well as from across the USA.  Registrants are students, faculty, research coordinators, IRB administrators, research administrators, T-32 directors – to name a few!

Hope you can attend too!
Cathy
